Job Description

The Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for building relationships within the Salesforce Ecosystem. You will truly be the face of the client to the partner community within the UK.

Through standard and creative communications styles, you will take responsibility for educating Salesforce and Salesforce Partners on how to identify opportunities which this technology would be a fit.

The ideal candidate will be first and foremost a self-starter who takes initiative in every aspect of their job. This role requires a charismatic, responsible leader who can work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while meeting the goals set in place for them.

Success within this role would mean the development of successful business relationships that bring about business by referrals from both Salesforce and Partner relationships.

Responsibilities

Strategy development and implementation

  • Develop sales and brand strategy in line with clients strategic vision

  • Implement innovative sales strategies to position client as a market leader within Salesforce and chosen markets

  • Identify USP’s within chosen markets and explore ways of alleviating potential threats from competing products.

  • Identify target prospect groups with partners.

Revenue Optimisation

  • Seek out new market opportunities and generate leads for the Sales teams.

  • Create campaigns and initiatives that will drive and increase revenue

  • Negotiate and execute partnership agreements (e.g., contracts, financial terms)

Market Positioning

  • Holistic positioning of the overall company value proposition.

  • Develop the Company’s sales and marketing capabilities with alliance partners.

  • Develop and integrate a unified market proposition and resources across business units, geographies, and functional groups.

  • Drive execution of the Sales & Marketing programs, within the direct and indirect channel, branding, training events, direct marketing, market research, thought leadership, and the management of the alliances pipeline.

  • Follow a reporting function that can track, measure, and analyse performance.

Indirect Sales strategy

  • Set and drive the strategic vision, objectives and values for the Salesforce channel

  • Identify new partnership opportunities in alignment with growth initiatives and strategy of the business

Experience

Essential:

  • A minimum of 3 years strategic sales / alliances

  • Proven experience of sales and negotiation in a B2B environment

Desirable:

  • Experience within the Salesforce.com CRM environment

  • Telecommunication/IT sales/ Software as a Service/Cloud solutions

  • Experience in planning and managing events

Skills

Essential:

  • Excellent communication; written and presentation skills

  • Personal effectiveness including time management and self-motivation

  • The ability to manage Pipeline within quarterly targets

  • Demonstrable ability to creatively uncover and qualify business opportunities

  • Commercial skills and general business acumen including understanding margins and factors which affect the achievement of targets

  • Being able to work on a team and individual level
